Pauline L’Herbette, Associate Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles

Pauline L’Herbette

Associate Clinical Social Worker

Hi, I’m Pauline and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW 120632) trained and supervised by our founder Dr. Christine Izquierdo (PSY 27806) and Clinical Training Director Kim Cox (LMFT 115817). My priority as a therapist is to create a space where you can explore what’s happening beneath the surface without judgment. A space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I show up with empathy, curiosity, and compassion, supporting you as you uncover patterns, process emotions, and build more connected, fulfilling relationships with others and with yourself.

I bring warmth, authenticity, and a genuine human presence to the therapy process.
My journey in this work began in residential treatment with adolescents, where I had the privilege of supporting teens and their parents through some of their most vulnerable moments. Those early years taught me about resilience, connection, and the healing that happens when people feel safe enough to share their stories. My more current training and clinical experience has been focused on supporting parents, families, and clients across the lifespan in breaking vicious cycles of anxiety, OCD, and chronic emotion dysregulation.

My therapy approach blends lived experience with clinical expertise, utilizing several evidenced–based integrative techniques in my therapy approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

As a mom of two, I also understand the beautiful chaos of motherhood. The joy, the overwhelm, the identity shifts that can feel both grounding and disorienting. This personal experience fuels my passion for supporting clients through significant life transitions, helping them reconnect with themselves while navigating the complexities of change and growth. I’m also deeply passionate about helping individuals move through career transitions, burnout, and that painful sense of feeling stuck. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in a career that looked “right” on paper but left me anxious, disconnected, and unsure of who I was becoming. I know firsthand how disorienting and ultimately transformative it can be to reevaluate your path and choose something more aligned.

Wherever you and/or your family member is in your journey, my goal is to walk alongside you with warmth, courage, and compassion, helping you reconnect with your strengths, your values, and your authentic sense of self.

If you’re ready to get started, you can schedule a free phone consultation to ask any questions you might have for me, to see if we are a good fit before making any commitments to the treatment process.

“We can do hard things.”
