Mary Andrighetto, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Straight Up Treatment

Mary Andrighetto

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#149630) who is passionate about working with children and teens navigating specific challenges including ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and difficulties in relationships and self-esteem. Throughout my work, I have noticed these issues are accompanied with symptoms such as chronic worry and stress, sleep and behavioral issues, academic struggles, loneliness, sadness, and developing a negative view of themselves.

As a therapist, I believe the client-therapist relationship is essential for fostering meaningful change. I strive to create a trusting, non-judgmental, and supportive space, so that my clients will feel safe to explore difficult emotions and personal challenges. I find that this connection helps people confront and transform their fears, stressors, and unhelpful beliefs and behaviors, while also empowering them to develop resilience, self-awareness, and more authentic ways of relating to themselves and others.

I take a holistic, person-centered approach toward therapy that focuses on the clients individual needs and goals of treatment using my extensive training in psychodynamic work, as well as evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).

In my approach to helping children and teens, I believe that parents are an integral and collaborative part of their child’s therapy process and progress. A supportive parent-child relationship is key to children and teens brain growth and personal development, especially as they learn to navigate stressors and challenges in their journey. I am very passionate about supporting parents, so that parents can better support their children.

The decision to seek therapy is never easy, however having a supportive and non-judgemental space can equip us with the tools necessary to manage our emotions more skillfully, overcome challenges, and live a more balanced and happier life.

My areas of specialty and focus include: ADHD, Anxiety, and OCD in children, teens, and adults. In addition to parent skill building.

If you are considering therapy, I offer 15 minute consultation calls to see if we are a good fit. I would be happy to provide you or a loved one support in living a more content, empowered, and fulfilled life.
